From a young age, Tony Vogel was fascinated by the sounds of music. He was particularly enthralled by the sonic vibrations from the strings of his father’s baritone ukulele, upon which he learned his first chords and melodies. At age ten, he was gifted with a secondhand 6-string guitar, and commenced a lifetime of learning, beginning with lessons from the legendary Rock Island, Illinois guitar instructor, Arlene Bolis. At age 19, he enthusiastically furthered his education at the nationally acclaimed Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California, graduating in 1984.
In addition to composing music, writing and producing jingles, and audio engineering, Tony performs and entertains with the touring band Rolling Thunder. His musical prowess has been validated by twice winning “Best Guitarist of the Quad Cities”.
Tony: “Music is my life. I want to gift others with the tools and skills to create music that sparks joy in our souls. I believe everyone has an innate capability to make and appreciate beautiful sounds. I am here to nurture those capabilities.”
