Keys of Unity – SoundConservatory

We are excited to introduce a new program that will help connect our music & art community, local business and residents through an exciting new piano program! Keys of Unity is a program that will feature professional pianos at local businesses that will serve for the following purposes:

Give members and guests of our community the opportunity to play a piano at a local business.
Give our local business an opportunity to program live music as well as events they may want to hold through the use of our pianos.
Spark that interest in music that you have always had in the back of your mind.
Encourage our community members and guests to learn more about and visit our beautiful downtown businesses.
Spark that interest in music that you have always had in the back of your mind.
Give our young artists an opportunity to partake in annual piano painting contests as a learning opportunity for how to get involved in the professional art world.

Not only that, but Sound Conservatory will provide our own scheduled FREE performances at select locations featuring pianists from our own conservatory! To view a calendar of where to find our pianos as well as performances, click here!

In our first season, we will feature four pianos that will be placed throughout participating downtown Moline businesses for a month at a time, after which the pianos will be relocated to 3 new locations. One of these pianos will be painted featuring the artwork of our 2024 Design Winner, Shea Gende. Check out her design below!

How do you feel your design represents Key's of Unity's motto "Community & Music, Together"?

“I like the idea of a diverse community surrounding music, which is why I used a circle of hands of many different colors surrounding colorful musical notes. Music is a way to express myself. I can listen to happy music when I'm happy, sad music when I'm sad, or angry music when I'm mad. Music is a very expressive form of the arts and that's what makes it so special to me.”
